Vampire Sofa MOC – Free Building Instructions
Share
A vampire's room needs more than dark walls to establish its character. This Vampire Sofa MOC turns a single piece of furniture into a compact gothic scene, combining a black and deep red sofa with a seated vampire, a bat and a matching side table.
This is my original custom MOC, designed as a small interior centerpiece for haunted mansions, dark castle rooms, Halloween displays and gothic scenes. Free step-by-step image instructions are available on this page.

A Sofa Built for a Vampire's Room
The sofa is the visual anchor of the model. Its mostly black outer frame creates a heavy, formal silhouette, while the dark red seat and backrest introduce a strong gothic contrast.
Rounded ends soften the rectangular furniture shape without removing its imposing appearance. Small angled feet lift the sofa above the floor, giving it the look of a distinct piece of furniture rather than a simple bench.
The seated vampire immediately gives the furniture a purpose. Instead of presenting an empty sofa, the model suggests a private lounge, castle chamber or hidden room belonging to its occupant.
The Side Table Turns Furniture into a Scene
One of the most useful details is the attached side area. A curved black tabletop continues the dark furniture palette, supported by narrow legs below, while the gold-colored goblet introduces a contrasting detail beside the sofa.
That small addition changes the composition significantly. The sofa no longer feels isolated; it becomes part of an interior arrangement. The bat positioned behind the vampire adds another layer to the scene without requiring a large background structure.

Use the image sequence below to recreate the sofa, its dark red seating, curved black frame, side table, goblet, bat and vampire character.

Build a Larger Gothic Interior Around the Sofa
The furniture format makes the Vampire Sofa a natural starting point for a larger interior MOC. It could become the center of a vampire's private chamber, a sitting area inside a dark castle, part of a haunted mansion or a small Halloween room display.
If you want to expand the theme beyond the furniture, the Vampire Knight Display MOC can introduce another gothic character scene. A Witch Equipment MOC can add potion and magical details to a nearby chamber.
For a larger seasonal environment, the Haunted Street Corner can move the theme outdoors, while the Creepy Pumpkin MOC adds another compact Halloween scene that can sit elsewhere in the same display.
From One Sofa to a Complete Vampire Hideout
This model leaves room for expansion because the central idea is furniture rather than a fully enclosed building. You can use the sofa as the first element and decide what kind of room should grow around it.
- Add walls behind the sofa to turn it into a private gothic chamber.
- Place it inside a castle or mansion interior as a lounge area.
- Build additional dark furniture around it to create a larger sitting room.
- Combine it with spooky scenery for a seasonal Halloween display.
Even on its own, the black frame, deep red seating, vampire character, bat and gold-colored table detail give the Vampire Sofa MOC a clear identity. In a larger layout, it can become the detail that tells visitors exactly who lives in the room.
