Crow Feed Cart MOC – Free Building Instructions
Share
Two black crows turn this small feed cart into a traveling autumn scene. One watches from above the curved black canopy while the second stands at the front of the cart, with a hanging lantern and carved pumpkin adding a darker seasonal edge.
This Crow Feed Cart MOC is my original custom MOC, designed as a compact display for Halloween scenes, medieval roads, dark fantasy layouts, and autumn settings. Free step-by-step image instructions are available on this page.

A Feed Cart Watched by Two Crows
The pair of crows gives the model its identity. Instead of treating them as small accessories, the design places them at different heights and at opposite ends of the cart. The crow above the roof becomes part of the silhouette, while the lower bird draws attention toward the front handle and feeding area.
Between them sits the brown cart body, an open compartment with gold-colored feed pieces, a large spoked wheel, and a hanging lantern. The separate carved pumpkin brings in a clear Halloween detail without turning the entire cart into a pumpkin-based build.
The Black Canopy Changes the Character of the Cart
The curved dark roof is one of the strongest shapes in the model. It stretches across most of the cart and creates a heavy, almost covered-wagon profile above the smaller brown structure underneath.
That contrast between the black canopy and brown cart also helps the crow on top remain part of the overall design. From the side, the roof, bird, wheel, lantern, feed box, and pumpkin each occupy a different level, giving the model a layered profile rather than a simple rectangular cart shape.
Recreate the Crow Feed Cart from the Image Instructions
The building sequence below lets you recreate the original custom MOC visually, working from the cart structure toward the details that give the model its final character.

As the build develops, watch how the large wheel relates to the body of the cart, how the curved roof sits above the central structure, and where the lantern and two crows are positioned. The final pumpkin can then be placed beside the cart to complete the seasonal presentation.
Give the Cart a Route Through a Larger Scene
This model can become a small story element rather than simply sitting by itself. On a Halloween layout, it could travel past the Creepy Pumpkin MOC or stand near the Haunted Gravestone MOC to create a darker roadside setting.
If you prefer a more old-world direction, the cart can share a road or village area with the Medieval Mail Cart MOC. The two carts have very different purposes and visual identities, which can help a medieval route feel busier and more varied.
From Autumn Road to Dark Fantasy Village
The Crow Feed Cart can shift between themes depending on what surrounds it. The pumpkin and black birds push it toward Halloween, while the brown cart, wheel, roof supports, and lantern also suit medieval or fantasy scenery.
For an autumn character display, pair it with the Pumpkin Scarecrow. For a quieter village setting, the Medieval Village Well MOC can help extend the scene beyond the cart itself.
The result is a small MOC with a strong visual story: a dark covered feed cart, two watchful crows, a lantern, a loaded compartment, and a carved pumpkin waiting beside the wheel.
