LEGO DC 2027 Sets Bring Two Batmobiles and Joker Wall Art

The first LEGO DC 2027 sets put Batman back at the center with three very different builds: a movie-inspired vehicle duel, a compact gaming Batmobile, and an unsettling comic-book portrait. All three launch on January 1, 2027, giving builders a choice between active play and statement display.

just2good’s overview presents the wave as more than another run of black cars. Each model has a distinct design brief, from recreating a film transformation to translating a famous Joker image into layered brick-built relief.

Two Batmobiles take different routes

Set 67008 Batman Returns Batmobile & Duck contains 672 pieces and includes Batman and The Penguin. The Batmobile can convert into its narrow Batmissile form, while the Duck vehicle adds movable wings and head. That pairing makes the $59.99 set useful both as a chase scene and as a study in building two screen vehicles with sharply contrasting shapes.

Set 67009 Arkham Batman Batmobile is the smaller option at 317 pieces and $29.99. Its functional suspension, opening cockpit, hidden rear storage and Batman minifigure give it a compact mechanical identity. For vehicle MOC builders, the suspension is the most interesting feature: it adds movement without requiring a large Technic-scale chassis.

The Joker becomes a three-dimensional cover

Set 67012 The Joker Wall Art Comic Cover shifts the wave toward adult display. The 1,849-piece model recreates the 2011 cover of Detective Comics #880, using raised facial features and embedded details such as Batarangs, swords, flowers and repeated laughter. Priced at $169.99, it can hang on a wall or stand on a shelf, turning comic imagery into a deep, shadow-casting surface rather than a flat mosaic.

Final Thoughts

This LEGO DC 2027 wave works because its three sets do not compete for the same role. Set 67008 offers character-driven play, 67009 delivers a small functional vehicle, and 67012 treats Batman imagery as dramatic wall art. Together they give collectors and custom builders several distinct ideas to study instead of repeating one Batmobile formula.
