Vampire Throne MOC – Free Building Instructions

A red carpet climbs through candlelight toward a dark coffin-shaped throne, framed by black columns and watchful bats. The Vampire Throne MOC is my original custom MOC, created as a compact gothic centerpiece for vampire chambers, haunted castles, Halloween displays and dark fantasy scenes.

Free step-by-step image instructions are available on this page. Rather than relying on a large structure, the design concentrates the scene around a single dramatic destination: the throne at the top of the stairs.

A Throne Reached by the Red Carpet

The approach to the throne is an important part of the model. A central dark red path begins at the curved front edge and continues upward through the steps, bordered by gold details that make the route visually distinct from the surrounding gray floor.

This creates a strong central line through the entire MOC. The eye follows the carpet from the front of the display directly toward the tall red-and-black throne, while the raised platforms on either side keep the composition balanced.

Four candles are positioned around the approach, adding smaller points of interest without distracting from the central structure. Their placement also helps turn the base into a complete ceremonial scene rather than simply a platform for the throne.

Bats and Black Architecture Frame the Vampire Throne

Behind the throne, two narrow black columns support a wide gothic arch. Tall pointed elements at each side sharpen the silhouette, while a small bat sits above the center of the arch.

A second bat decorates the front of the throne itself. Repeating the bat motif at different heights ties the upper frame and central seat together, giving the model a clear vampire identity even when displayed without a character.

The throne structure uses dark red as its main accent against black and dark gray surroundings. A small gold detail on the front adds another connection to the gold edging along the carpet below.

HTBI - PATREON

Turn the Throne into the Center of a Dark Fantasy Scene

The finished MOC can stand alone as a small gothic display, but its open front and ceremonial layout also make it a natural starting point for a larger environment. It could become the end of a castle hall, the center of a vampire chamber, or the focal point of a Halloween diorama.

For a larger vampire setting, the Vampire Knight Display MOC continues the same bat-themed visual language. A surrounding haunted environment could also incorporate the Haunted Street Corner or the Haunted Gravestone MOC.

More MOCs for the Dark Side of Your Display

If the throne is going into a broader fantasy layout, the Cursed Swamp Knight MOC offers another dark medieval setting with a very different environment. For smaller seasonal additions, the Zombie Tombstone build can add a compact graveyard detail nearby.
