Surfside Beach Bar MOC – Free Building Instructions
Share
The Surfside Beach Bar MOC is my original custom MOC of a compact seaside drinks stand with two lounge chairs and colorful surfboards. Free step-by-step image instructions are available on this page, so you can recreate the complete summer scene for a beach, resort, poolside, boardwalk, or shelf display.
The model combines a wooden-style serving kiosk with a purple-and-white striped canopy, a detailed drinks counter, a server figure, two white reclining loungers, and two upright surfboards. Together, these elements create more than a simple bar build—they form a small vacation scene with a clear story and purpose.
This summer MOC works well as a standalone display, but it can also become the social center of a larger beach layout where characters can relax, order drinks, prepare for surfing, or gather beside the water.

About This Custom MOC
The main structure is a compact beach bar with brown wall sections and a wide serving counter. Its purple-and-white canopy gives the model a bright resort-style appearance, while the textured tan roof edge adds another layer of shape above the serving area.
The counter is filled with small details that make the bar feel active. Green bottles, clear glasses, fruit, a small container, and a drink-making accessory suggest that refreshments are being prepared and served. The figure behind the counter helps turn the structure into a complete scene rather than an empty kiosk.
Beside the bar are two white reclining lounge chairs with brown bases. On the opposite side, coral and lime-colored surfboards stand upright against the kiosk. These accessories connect the drinks stand directly to a beach and surfing setting while adding color and height to the finished display.
What You Can Build from the Instructions
The free image instructions show how to recreate the complete Surfside Beach Bar MOC as displayed. This includes the main kiosk, serving counter, striped canopy, counter accessories, two lounge chairs, surfboards, and the surrounding scene details.
You can keep all of the elements together as one compact summer MOC, or use individual parts of the design in a larger layout. The loungers can expand a resort seating area, the surfboards can decorate a beach shop or rental station, and the bar itself can serve as a refreshment point beside a pool, hotel, promenade, or vacation house.

Where This MOC Fits Best
This MOC fits naturally into beach layouts, resort displays, poolside scenes, tropical islands, summer city areas, hotel courtyards, waterfront promenades, and surfing displays. It can also work beside a boardwalk, near a small marina, or as part of an outdoor entertainment area.
The bar provides a strong focal point for an open beach scene because it combines a recognizable structure with furniture, accessories, and character activity. In a larger layout, it can help connect water, sand, seating, food, and recreation areas into one believable location.
As a standalone build, the colorful canopy, surfboards, loungers, and detailed counter give the model enough visual variety to create a complete shelf display without requiring additional scenery.
Why Build This MOC?
A beach display can feel empty when it includes only sand and water. This Surfside Beach Bar MOC adds a place where characters can meet, relax, order refreshments, and prepare for a day of surfing. That gives the surrounding layout more activity and makes the scene easier to understand at a glance.
The model also adds useful visual contrast. The low white lounge chairs create a relaxed seating area, the kiosk provides a solid central structure, and the upright surfboards add bright vertical details along one side. The bottles, glasses, fruit, canopy, and serving figure reward closer viewing without making the scene feel overcrowded.
Building Experience
This custom MOC combines several types of small building ideas in one scene, including a fixed kiosk, angled canopy sections, compact furniture, upright display accessories, and detailed counter items. The variety makes the project more interesting than building a single object while keeping the final model easy to place in a larger layout.
