Spooky Haunted Corner MOC – Free Building Instructions
Share
A black chair, a hovering ghost and three pale blue flames turn a very small footprint into a complete supernatural scene. This Spooky Haunted Corner MOC is my original custom MOC, designed as a compact haunted-room vignette where the furniture, ghost and lighting all contribute to the same story. Free step-by-step image instructions are available on this page.
The model is well suited to haunted interiors, dark fantasy displays and seasonal layouts where one small scene needs to create atmosphere quickly. Designed by Guy Gabizon | Original HTBI-MOC Design
A Black Chair Becomes the Center of the Haunting
The chair gives the scene its strongest solid shape. Its high back, narrow legs and curled side details create a decorative silhouette that feels more at home in an old haunted room than in an ordinary interior.
Because the rest of the scene is arranged around it, the empty seat also leaves room for interpretation. It can read as an abandoned chair, a place the ghost has just left, or the focal point of a mysterious room inside a larger haunted build.
The Floating Ghost Is Built into the Composition
The ghost sits above the chair rather than beside it, which makes the supernatural part of the scene visible immediately. A curved transparent support carries the ghost away from the chair while keeping the connection visually light.
The instruction sequence shows the chair being completed first, followed by the transparent support and ghost assembly. That separation makes the hovering effect easy to understand when viewing the finished MOC from the front or at an angle.
Blue Flames Give the Candelabra Its Own Identity
The separate three-arm candelabra balances the dark chair with another tall element. White candle sections rise from a black base, while three translucent light-blue flames add the only strong cool-color accent in the scene.
Placed beside the ghost, those flames make the lighting feel supernatural rather than ordinary. They also help the candelabra remain visually distinct even though most of its structure uses the same dark palette as the chair.
Build the Spooky Haunted Corner Step by Step
The images below begin with the chair base and back, add the curled arm details, then move to the transparent ghost support before building the separate candelabra and combining the finished elements into the complete haunted corner.

Turn One Haunted Corner into a Larger Scene
The compact layout makes this scene easy to place inside a larger environment without needing to redesign the surrounding build. It can sit beside a wall, staircase or doorway in a haunted interior, or become one supernatural detail in a wider Halloween or dark fantasy display.
For an outdoor extension, the Haunted Street Corner MOC can move the atmosphere into an eerie street, while the Haunted Gravestone MOC adds a cemetery direction. The Witch Spellbook Scene fits the magical side of the display, and the Coffin MOC adds another compact haunted prop for the same setting.
