Photography Studio MOC – Free Building Instructions
The sweeping white backdrop is the feature that makes this Photography Studio MOC immediately recognizable. Its curved lower section creates the look of a seamless photo wall, while the dark camera and freestanding lamp stand out sharply in front of it.

A Curved Backdrop That Defines the Photography Studio
The backdrop gives the model its strongest visual identity. A tall pale wall flows into the floor through a smooth curved section, recreating the continuous surface commonly associated with studio photography. This shape removes the appearance of a hard corner and gives the shooting area a clean, focused look.
Across the top, the cylindrical section suggests a rolled studio backdrop, while the black supports frame both sides of the structure. The contrast between the light background and the black equipment makes the camera and lamp easy to recognize without adding unnecessary decoration.
Three Small Builds Create One Complete Photo Set
The Photography Studio MOC is formed from three separate visual elements that work together as a complete scene:
- Seamless studio backdrop: a pale wall and curved floor framed by dark side supports, with a rolled section positioned across the top.
- Tripod camera: a compact black camera body with a projecting lens, top detail, side elements, and three angled legs.
- Freestanding studio lamp: a tall support with a round transparent-fronted light head aimed toward the shooting area.
Each assembly has a clear silhouette, so the studio remains readable even without a surrounding room. Follow the image instructions below to recreate the backdrop, camera, and lighting equipment as shown.
Stage a Portrait, Product Shoot, or Media Scene
Place a character in front of the curved backdrop to create a portrait session, fashion shoot, school photo day, press image, or creative studio scene. A small object on the shooting area can turn the same setup into a product photography display.
The camera, light, and backdrop are shown as distinct parts of the composition, giving you several ways to arrange the finished model. It can fill a room inside a city building, become part of a newsroom or creative office, or stand alone as a compact photography-themed display.
Expand the Studio into a Media and Production Space
