Imperial Harbor Guardhouse MOC – Free Building Instructions
The Imperial Harbor Guardhouse MOC turns a narrow waterfront entrance into a compact fortified checkpoint. This is my original custom MOC, built around a tall white-and-yellow guardhouse, a wooden landing stage, and an armed lookout above the harbor door. A Harbor Checkpoint Built from Waterline to Battlements
The design reads in three stacked zones. Blue water and a narrow shoreline establish the harbor edge, the wooden pier creates an arrival point at the front door, and the upper platform turns the building into a guarded lookout. That upward progression gives the Imperial Harbor Guardhouse MOC a strong silhouette without requiring a wide base.
At roof level, the crenellated wall, flagpole, guard position, and small corner tower make the post feel ready for watch duty. The rounded brown roof on the tower breaks up the square masonry and gives the top of the model a distinctive profile from several viewing angles.
Why the Dock Belongs to the Guardhouse
The landing stage is not separate scenery; it explains the purpose of the building. A boat can approach the door directly, while the guard above watches the waterline. The barrel beside the pier and the small plants around the shore keep the checkpoint connected to an active harbor rather than an isolated wall.
The front facade uses a dark wooden door between two black lanterns, with yellow wall panels adding a bright imperial accent against the white masonry. Gray foundation and roof bands divide the structure cleanly, helping each level remain easy to read in a crowded coastal layout.

As the build rises from the shore to the roof, watch how the narrow lower footprint supports the wider defensive details above. Keeping the door, lanterns, pier, and rooftop lookout aligned preserves the model’s compact vertical character.
Create a Wider Imperial Harbor Around the Post
The guardhouse can mark the controlled entrance to a larger waterfront. These related builds can extend the shoreline in different directions:

Displayed alone, the Imperial Harbor Guardhouse is a compact coastal scene with a clear role. In a larger layout, it can become the boundary between open water, dock activity, and a fortified imperial district.
