Ice Planet Snowmobile MOC | Free Building Instructions
A fast surface vehicle can make a frozen-space layout feel active before any larger base is added. The Ice Planet Snowmobile is my original custom MOC, combining twin front skis, a rear tread unit, a low blue-and-white body, and bright transparent orange equipment around a standing pilot.

A Patrol Vehicle for the Route Beyond the Base
The Snowmobile looks ready to travel between distant points of a frozen mission. Its narrow front, open rider position, and long ground-level profile give it the visual character of a fast scouting machine rather than a heavy transport vehicle.
That role creates several display possibilities. The pilot can be shown leaving an outpost, checking a remote signal, following tracks across the ice, or carrying equipment toward another expedition vehicle. Even without a large landscape, the model suggests that the frozen world continues beyond the edge of the display.
Two Skis, One Track, and a Strong Ice Planet Profile
The front of the MOC is defined by two separate black skis beneath a low wedge-shaped nose. White angled panels frame the blue upper section, while the transparent orange windscreen adds a bright focal point directly in front of the pilot.
Behind the rider, the design changes from skis to a compact tread assembly. Blue wheel details break up the black track line, and the gray side equipment adds a more technical appearance. Tall transparent orange elements at the rear complete the frozen-space color scheme and make the vehicle easy to recognize from the side.
The exposed handlebars and upright pilot position are important to the finished silhouette. They keep the rider visibly connected to the machine while leaving the unusual ski-and-track construction clearly readable.
Recreate the Snowmobile from the Image Sequence
Follow the building images in order and use the skis, tread line, blue nose, and orange rear elements as visual checkpoints. These features establish the stance of the vehicle, so comparing their position with the finished model will help preserve its low and forward-pointing shape.
Pay particular attention to the spacing of the front skis and the alignment between the body and rear track section. Once those main assemblies are positioned correctly, the side panels, handlebars, equipment details, and pilot complete the Ice Planet Snowmobile MOC.
Send the Snowmobile into a Larger Ice Planet Mission
For a varied surface patrol, place the snowmobile beside the Ice Planet Scout Walker MOC. The two vehicles use different forms of movement, giving the expedition equipment a more developed and purposeful appearance.
The 6814-1 Ice Tunnelator Renew can serve as the heavier machine in the same scene, while the 6834-1 Celestial Sled Renew adds another compact vehicle built around fast travel across a frozen world.

Built alone, the Snowmobile is a compact study in sci-fi vehicle shaping. Surrounded by other machines and outpost equipment, it becomes part of a wider expedition moving across the ice.
