Haunted Lamp MOC – Free Halloween Building Instructions

A lonely street lamp becomes the center of a supernatural encounter in this Haunted Lamp MOC. Two pale ghosts sweep around the tall black lantern, turning a familiar piece of street scenery into a compact Halloween display with plenty of movement and atmosphere.

This is my original custom MOC, designed as a spooky standalone scene or a supernatural detail for a larger haunted street, cemetery, or seasonal layout. Free step-by-step image instructions are available on this page.

A Street Lamp Caught in a Haunting

The tall lamp post gives the model a strong vertical shape, but the ghosts are what transform it from ordinary street furniture into a haunted scene. Their light bodies stand out sharply against the dark central structure, making the supernatural part of the design immediately readable.

A hanging chain adds another darker detail beside the lantern, while the tiled base gives the entire Haunted Lamp MOC a defined piece of ground rather than leaving the post as an isolated object. Small orange elements near the bottom introduce a subtle autumn accent around the base.

How the Floating Ghosts Bring the Scene to Life

The most distinctive feature is the way the two ghosts approach the lamp from opposite sides. Curved transparent elements connect them to the lower part of the scene while remaining visually understated, creating the impression that both figures are sweeping through the air around the post.

That curved composition breaks up the straight silhouette of the lamp and gives the model a much more animated appearance. One ghost rises from the left while the second approaches from the right, framing the central lantern without hiding it.

This makes the build useful when a spooky layout needs height as well as activity. Instead of placing another static decoration beside a path, the Haunted Lamp creates a small supernatural event around an everyday object.

Follow the Haunted Lamp Build Step by Step

The image instructions below take you through the model section by section, including the tiled base, central lamp structure, lantern, hanging chain, transparent curved supports and the two ghost figures.

Following the sequence lets you recreate the complete Haunted Lamp MOC as shown while also giving you a closer look at how the different assemblies come together. The contrast between the narrow central post and the wider ghost arrangement is an important part of the finished composition.

Turn One Haunted Lamp Into a Larger Spooky Street

This model can act as a small focal point inside a much wider Halloween setting. Place it beside the Haunted Street Corner MOC to continue the eerie street theme, or move the scene toward a cemetery by adding the Haunted Gravestone MOC and Zombie Tombstone MOC.

For a darker graveyard arrangement, the Coffin MOC adds another compact prop that can sit close to the lamp. A Witch Spellbook Scene can push the same display toward a more magical haunted setting.

Because the lamp provides height while the ghosts spread outward, it can also help visually connect smaller ground-level models around it. That makes it a useful centerpiece for a compact seasonal shelf scene or one atmospheric detail within a larger haunted layout.
