Forest Adventurers Camp MOC – Free Building Instructions
Share
The Forest Adventurers Camp is my original custom MOC, designed as a detailed woodland meeting place where two adventurers can prepare for their next journey. Free step-by-step image instructions are available on this page, so you can recreate the camp for a forest, castle, fantasy, or adventure display.
At the center of the scene is a round wooden planning table with a map, candle, small flame, and golden goblet. A hanging lantern, storage chest, forest crest, seating area, mushrooms, and layered foliage help turn the model into a complete woodland camp rather than a simple collection of accessories.
The finished MOC works well as a standalone display, but it can also become the central meeting area inside a larger hidden forest settlement, ranger camp, castle woodland, or fantasy layout.

About This Custom MOC
The Forest Adventurers Camp MOC is built around the idea of a hidden woodland meeting point. Two green-clad characters gather around a large circular table, creating the feeling that they are studying a route, sharing information, or preparing supplies before leaving the safety of the camp.
The table provides the main visual focus. Its map, candle, flame detail, and goblet give the scene a clear purpose, while the wooden chest beside it suggests stored equipment for future journeys. Behind the table, a raised wooden panel and green deer crest help identify the camp as an organized forest base rather than a temporary campsite.
Natural details soften the wooden structures and furniture. Green leaves spread around the shaped ground, while small plants, mushrooms, rocks, and stump-style seats make the MOC feel connected to the surrounding forest.
What You Can Build from the Instructions
The free image instructions help you recreate the camp structure and visible scenery shown in the finished model. This includes the shaped woodland base, round planning table, bench, small seats, lantern post, storage chest, raised background details, plants, mushrooms, and tabletop accessories.
Following the build visually also makes it easier to understand how the separate furniture, scenery, and camp details connect into one complete display.

Where This MOC Fits Best
This Forest Adventurers Camp MOC fits naturally inside medieval forests, hidden woodland settlements, castle borderlands, fantasy villages, ranger camps, and adventure dioramas. It can serve as the main planning area of a larger camp or as a quiet meeting point beside a forest trail.
The self-contained ground section also makes the model suitable for a shelf or desk display. The round table, characters, lantern, chest, and natural surroundings provide enough detail for the MOC to tell a complete story without requiring additional buildings.
Why Build This MOC?
The strongest feature of this build is its storytelling value. The map immediately suggests a journey, while the seated and standing characters create a natural meeting scene. The nearby chest, warm lighting details, crest, and woodland furniture make it easy to imagine the camp as part of a much larger forest world.
It is also a useful scene-building MOC because it adds activity to a layout. Instead of showing only trees, paths, or defensive structures, the camp shows what the forest adventurers do between journeys: meet, plan, study routes, and prepare their equipment.
Building Experience
This is a detail-focused build that combines several different types of construction, including a shaped natural base, curved furniture, small accessories, a lantern support, storage details, and layered foliage.
The variety of visible elements keeps the building process interesting without relying on one large structure. Each completed section has a clear role in the final camp scene.
