LEGO Set 10357 – Shelby Cobra 427 S/C: Alternate Build Possibilities

The Shelby Cobra 427 S/C is the kind of Icons set that practically begs to be rebuilt. Its curvy panels, arches, tiles, and a satisfying spread of small detail parts give you a toolbox that’s just as happy sculpting classic muscle lines as it is experimenting with off-road silhouettes or compact speedsters. If you enjoy turning one model into many, 10357 is a sweet spot: enough medium/large elements to define bold bodywork, enough small parts to layer in grilles, vents, and cockpit texture, and wheels/steering bits that can swap between low, planted stances and lifted dune-ready looks.

Beyond the official model, creators are already reimagining this inventory in fresh directions—leaning on the set’s curved slopes for aero profiles, stacking brackets/plates for strong subframes, and reusing decorative elements for convincing lights and trim. Notably, the set page highlights that there’s an extra second tool pack included which isn’t used in the primary build—an easy win for your parts budget when you’re prototyping alternates.

Below you’ll find the community alternates. The first two builds are true alternates (made only from 10357). The last is a partial alternate that combines 10357 with another set; I’ve marked that clearly so builders know what’s required.
