כאשר סדרת Modular Buildings האייקונית הציגה בשנת 2021 את סט תחנת המשטרה (10278-1), המעריצים התלהבו מהאדריכלות המפורטת, מהחנויות שבקומת הרחוב ומהפרטים הנסתרים במשרדים האחוריים. אבל עבור רבים מהבונים, הקסם האמיתי טמון לא רק בללכת אחרי ההוראות – אלא בלשחרר את מלוא הפוטנציאל של כל חלק וחלק.
פלטת החלקים העשירה של התחנה – הכוללת לוחות כחולים־אפרפרים, נגיעות אדום ולבן קלאסיות, וחלקים ייחודיים כמו חלונות סורגים ושלטים שקופים בצבע ניאון – פותחת דלת לעולם של חידושים עירוניים. דמיינו את החזית המוכרת הופכת לגלידריה נעימה, למרכז שירות היי־טק או אפילו למקדש יפני שליו עם דוכן שכונתי צמוד.
עם 2,040 חלקים בדיוק – החל מאריחי גריל 1×2 ועד לחלונות 1×4 – הסט הזה מהווה ערכת כלים מושלמת לניסויים בעיצוב עירוני. בונים יכולים להפוך את גג ה"פסגה" המשטרתי לטרקלין אופנתי על הגג, להחליף את תא המעצר באולפן רדיו או לדמיין מחדש את בית הקפה שבקומת הקרקע כסדנת עיתונות שוקקת. בין אם אתם אוהבים סצנות נואר קשוחות או טיולי אחר־צהריים בכיכר צבעונית – האופי המודולרי של הסט מזמין אתכם לדחוף גבולות ולחקור אפשרויות סיפור חדשות.
